The event 'ABRAJOGO Talks – Supplier Regulations' discussed the regulation of KYC providers, platforms, games, and monitoring services at Le Vin Bistrô in Brasília on Tuesday.

Abrajogo organized the event 'ABRAJOGO Talks – Suppliers' Regulations' on Tuesday evening (3), at the Mezzanine of Le Vin Bistrô Brasília. The meeting brought together 40 professionals from the sector to discuss the licensing of providers operating in the B2B ecosystem of the gaming and betting industry in Brazil. The initiative took place in parallel with BiS SiGMA Brasília 2026, currently underway in the federal capital.

Among the participants, 38 represented different segments: KYC providers, monitoring services, platforms, virtual games, odds , aggregators, and lottery operators. Public authorities, regulators, executive leaders, operators, startups , and industry associations were also present. The agenda addressed aspects related to the structuring of the betting market in the country.

The trajectory of Abrajogo and the challenges of sector representation.

The Abrajogo board presented the organization's history, highlighting its role in the approval of fixed-odds betting in 2018. They mentioned the slowdown that occurred during the pandemic and emphasized the need to resume activities to represent the entire industry ecosystem.

Hendrich Júnior addressed the need to combat misinformation in the National Congress and before society. He stated that he faces this challenge even under "death threats." The president recounted an episode involving Congressman Luiz Carlos Hauly during a public hearing. His speech highlighted the challenges faced by the association in its dialogue with the legislative branch.

The president stressed the importance of the industry being proactive. He argued that the sector should take control of the narrative regarding the regulation of betting in Brazil.

Strategy for building the ISP access control system.

Ana Helena Pamplona presented the association's strategy for regulating the Tax Reform. Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira, director of government relations at AbraJogo, highlighted the importance of service providers aligning their discourse with the goal of building a provider regulation that contributes to a B2B licensing system suited to the needs of the Brazilian market.

Eduardo Franceschett, from Safefy, advocated for the definition of monitoring services in the ordinance. Victor Yuki Oda, from Serasa Experian, defended the need for service standards appropriate to Brazilian risk. Oda shared the concerns of KYC providers regarding the technical and operational requirements that should be established by the regulation.

Valter Delfraro, from Oddsgate, pointed out that the initial challenge lies in organizing which suppliers need to be accredited. According to him, only after this definition will it be possible to delve deeper into the specific requirements of each provider. This observation highlighted the need to establish priorities in the regulatory process.

Collaboration and next steps

Amilton Noble, from Hebara, emphasized the importance of providers defending what is good for the industry. He warned of the need to overcome the specific interests of individual companies in favor of the collective development of the sector. The intervention reinforced the collaborative nature necessary for building an efficient regulatory framework.

Ana Clara Barros, from Aigaming, called for the attention of providers who have remained absent from the debate and funding of industry initiatives. She emphasized that everyone depends on these initiatives. Barros highlighted the urgency for the entire ecosystem to unite. She stressed that both providers and operators need to guarantee the future of the regulated industry.

The roundtable discussion format fostered interaction among participants. The next steps include organizing the topics to be discussed by supplier type. The discussions will then be forwarded to the regulator to support the drafting of the supplier regulations.
