As Brazil consolidates its position among the world's leading regulated gaming markets, the SBC Summit Rio 2026 will return with an agenda shaped by the next phase of the sector's development in the country.

The event, which will take place at Riocentro from March 3rd to 5th, is in its third edition, bringing together operators, suppliers, regulators, and affiliates to discuss how the industry can adapt to the new regulations, leverage the potential of technological innovation, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the Brazilian sports betting and casino ecosystem.

With content spread across three stages, the conference will address the themes that are defining the Brazilian regulated market in its second year of operation — from leadership and regulatory changes to advances in technology and payments, as well as the role of affiliates in transforming this rapidly evolving industry.

“As the Brazilian market evolves, the conversations also need to evolve — and this year’s event is entirely focused on progress,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC.

“We put together an agenda to reflect the enormous progress the country has made in just one year, but also to highlight how speakers can overcome challenges — whether in regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, or secure growth in this still-new environment. There is still much room for learning and education in the sector.”

The Leadership stage will bring together senior executives, regulators, and investors to examine how the ever-changing regulatory environment is shaping the industry in Brazil. We will discuss topics such as proposed changes to operator taxation, the R$30 million licensing fee, and the practical challenges of navigating federal, state, and municipal regulations.

Among the featured sessions are “Brazilian Leaders: Building Betting Brands Brazilians Trust,” which will explore how CEOs are strengthening grassroots sports, generating jobs, and developing brands that connect with local audiences, and “Regulatory Clock: Too, Too Fast?”, a debate on whether the pace of regulations could end up slowing market growth.

Attendees will also hear directly from regulators in the session “Bingo, Casinos & Jogo do Bicho: The New Era of In-Person Gaming,” which will examine the opportunities presented by Bill 2.234/2022, which paves the way for new casinos, expands bingo licensing, and legalizes Jogo do Bicho (a type of illegal lottery).

The Tech Innovation track will highlight how cutting-edge technologies are reshaping the iGaming and lottery landscape in Brazil. Panels will explore how platforms like LotoMinas and Lottopar are leading the digital transformation of lotteries, how developers are creating next-generation casino games with real-time gamification, crash mechanics, and immersive UX experiences, and how technology-based player protection is reinforcing compliance under Law No. 14.790/2023.

Another important session will examine how operators can leverage innovation and fan engagement opportunities surrounding the 2026 World Cup, Brazil's first major football tournament in the regulated era.

The panels on Payment Methods will focus on compliance, innovation, and financial sustainability within the rapidly evolving payment ecosystems in the country.

The sessions covered

An in-depth analysis of PIX, highlighting how operators can balance speed, user experience, and compliance. Discussions on open banking, which already has 42 million access permissions granted and an advanced API infrastructure, redefining data flows, security, and personalization of the player experience. Discussions on anti-money laundering (AML) standards and best practices for KYC and fraud prevention under the new regulatory framework.

The Affiliate Leaders Summit will also be back with a dedicated stage, bringing together leading affiliates, operators, and marketing experts to discuss the trends and technologies that are transforming performance marketing in the region.

The sessions discussed “Affiliate Reality Check: What Works and What Is Overkill,” with a practical analysis of effective strategies versus inefficient spending, and “Red Card for Football Sponsorships and Celebrity Endorsements,” which will address how the new restrictions of Law 14.790 are forcing brands to offset their strategies.

Other topics include localization and SEO geared towards the Brazilian audience, the impact of artificial intelligence on affiliate models, and collaborations between operators and influencers that are redefining digital engagement on platforms like Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram.

In parallel, the Marketing Stage explores the creative and strategic side of Brazilian iGaming, with discussions on new sponsorship rules, impactful promotions that comply with legislation, and authentic cultural connections through events and community initiatives.

“The betting industry in Brazil is still writing its history — and the next chapter promises to be extraordinary. We are proud to support the people and companies that are shaping this future,” concluded Sojmark.
