Betway becomes the first official Formula 1 betting operator in 2026.

Betway has become the first official betting operator for Formula 1. The multi-year agreement was signed on Thursday (March 5th) and will be valid from the 2026 season. The partnership covers countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Canada and Mexico.
The agreement marks the official entry of the category into the global sports betting market. For the first time, F1 establishes a formal partnership with a betting operator on an international scale.
The company controlled by Super Group will be able to offer bets during races using official competition information. The products will include race-specific events such as safety car deployments , pit stop strategies, and direct battles between drivers on the track.
The developed tools will utilize predictive analytics and real-time information extracted from the category's database. ALT Sports Data is the company responsible for distributing official data to the betting market.
This category aims to expand the ways in which fans over 18 years of age can engage with races. The initiative identifies sports betting as an opportunity to broaden public interaction with live events.
Jonny Haworth, F1's director of commercial partnerships, stated that sports betting has become "a natural extension" of how many fans follow live events.
Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, said the agreement will allow them to offer new betting markets during race weekends.
The 2026 season will be the 76th in Formula 1 history. The championship will introduce new technical regulations, which will bring changes to the technological development of the cars.
The agreement is for multiple years. The financial value of the partnership was not disclosed.
