Botucatu launches municipal lottery with instant lottery kiosks in partner establishments.

SPLOTO, the Official Lottery of Botucatu, has started its operations with the installation of Instant Lottery totems in several commercial establishments in the city. The implementation began this Saturday (1), with dozens of establishments already accredited as partners. The first municipal lottery agency will be inaugurated by the end of November.

The Instant Lottery kiosks represent the initial phase of the project, which foresees expansion in the coming weeks. When the first physical branch opens, services will be expanded to include bill payments, taxes, and invoices.

The operation of the municipal lottery is being gradually implemented in different regions of Botucatu. Negotiations are underway for the installation of new agencies in the city center and in Cohab 1, which will expand service coverage to more residents.

The initiative aims to bring economic benefits to the municipality, including job creation and boosting the local economy. SPLOTO was established as a strategy to keep financial resources circulating within the city itself.

“Our commitment is to guarantee convenience, security, and concrete benefits for the population of Botucatu. SPLOTO represents more than a lottery: it is a project that boosts the economy, generates jobs, and creates new opportunities for the city,” stated Eduardo Paiva, CEO of SPLOTO.

Local businesses also benefit from the initiative, as they can add a new source of revenue to their businesses by becoming partners of the municipal lottery. The expansion plan includes opening branches in different regions and districts of the city.

SPLOTO's management has not yet released details about what other types of games will be offered in addition to the Instant Lottery, nor the complete expansion schedule for all regions of the city.

With this implementation, Botucatu joins other Brazilian municipalities that have already adopted municipal lotteries, following the trend of decentralizing lottery activity in the country.
