Caixa Loterias publishes new circular with updated lottery rules.
On Monday (August 17th), Caixa Loterias published version 21 of the CAIXA Lottery Products Manual, a document that compiles the operating rules for the federal lotteries administered by the institution. The update, formalized by Circular No. 1.123 of CAIXA Loterias SA, signed by executive director Thays Cintra Vieira, revokes the previous circular, number 1.111, issued on May 18, 2026.
The manual brings together in a single document the normative provisions regarding definitions, game modalities, marketing channels, fees, revenue distribution, prizes, and draws for the Prognostic Lotteries and the Federal Lottery Tickets.
Changes by type
The new version introduces six changes compared to the previous document. The main modifications directly affect Dia de Sorte and Timemania, in addition to expanding the thematic scope of Loteca.
For Dia de Sorte, the update revised the number of available "teimosinhas" (persistent bets) and changed the schedule for the draws. Timemania, in turn, had its team correlation table modified.
Loteca received a text change for the special modality and gained a new section that expands the possibility of holding contests; in addition to traditional games, the modality can now be organized based on events "related to any other theme".
Drawings move to Sunday
Among the operational changes, the circular mandates the transfer of raffles previously held on Saturdays to Sundays. The document also included guidance directed at consumers; bets placed with generated receipts will now be explicitly identified as eligible for the raffles.
