The commemorative date is part of the CapiWeek campaign; the H2 group company will have exclusive promotions and discounts during this period.

In a sector where communication often relies on ready-made formulas, SeuBet , the sports betting and online gaming platform of the H2 group, continues to innovate and break the mold, having decided to take a different approach. Between September 14th and 21st, the company is promoting CapiWeek, a campaign that officially establishes Capybara Day (September 14th) as an exclusive date for the brand. The choice stems from an existing date on the calendar, but it gains new meaning; instead of being just a commemorative date, it becomes an event of humor, Brazilian culture, and interaction with the community.

The promotions begin earlier, with a "warm-up" period from September 4th to 13th. During this time, users can accumulate daily benefits: each day they participate unlocks 5% cashback, in the form of a bonus, up to a limit of 50%. The accumulation is progressive; those who complete all ten days reach the maximum value, redeemable on the 15th. The cashback is calculated on betting losses, following the platform's rules, and functions as a reward connecting the warm-up phase to the official start of the campaign.

Starting on the 14th, the programming intensifies with special odds on key games and exclusive broadcasts on Twitch, featuring streamers like Kkubitza, TheMamoo, and Soouza, expanding the connection with the iGaming community, among others.

According to Fabricio Nunez, head of marketing at SeuBet, the initiative seeks to break with the sector's standard communication, dominated by "cliché" promotional dates, and when we look at the betting segment, we don't have a "fixed retail" date. "The market is used to repetitive campaigns, with exaggerated urgency and generic superlatives. CapiWeek delivers real value within the segment for the user/community, but also plays with this exaggeration, creating a moment of humor and Brazilianness that only exists in our community," he explains.

As part of an omnichannel strategy, on the 14th, the official date of the celebration, the company is promoting an activation at the Banana Café restaurant in Itaim, São Paulo, with interactions, gamification activities, and direct contact with the public. From September 15th, the campaign continues with activations at Vila JK, a concert venue in São Paulo, reinforcing the concept of 360º communication that connects different audiences.

The campaign draws inspiration from the aesthetics of major global promotions, but with a local translation, caricatured slogans, "pseudo-Englishisms," and exaggerated voice-overs in the style of "TV retail" advertising, it creates a unique language immediately recognizable by the Brazilian public. The goal is to provoke laughter through excess, but also to reinforce SeuBet's identity as a community brand, closer to bettors than just to numbers and odds.

The idea of creating a proprietary calendar, with its own identity and humor, allows the brand to control narrative, timing, and engagement, without depending on saturated dates. For SeuBet, this means differentiation in the sector, higher organic engagement, and an opportunity to strengthen the brand's perception as Brazilian, irreverent, and close to the betting community.

CapiWeek stands out for its "nonsense" and exaggerated tone. Hybrid words like "Ultrablaster," "turbinated," and "premium edition" are intentionally incorporated to parody international campaigns from major retailers. Furthermore, the voiceover is reminiscent of grocery store ads and reality shows, reinforcing the caricature without needing to explain the humor.

“The humor here isn’t gratuitous. It creates immediate identification; the audience recognizes the caricature, has fun, and engages, but at the same time receives real offers,” explains Nunez.

Cultural appropriation and mascots as symbols

One of CapiWeek's distinguishing features is the choice of the capybara as its protagonist. The animal, the brand's mascot and a typically Brazilian symbol, is reinterpreted as a cultural reference and icon of the week of celebration. The idea is to transform Capybara Day into an event recognized by the betting community, but also as a branding asset that communicates Brazilianness and irreverence.

“By officially establishing Capybara Day, we created an event that belongs only to us and our audience. This generates memories, connection, and even collective pride around the brand,” explains Nunez.

Despite the satirical tone and caricature, CapiWeek maintains a focus on results and conversion. The bonuses, discounts, and special odds are real and applicable to the entire community during the campaign week, guaranteeing a direct return for the platform. The humor acts as an additional layer of engagement, making the experience more natural and fun.

“The balance between humor, performance, and responsible gaming is what sustains the campaign. When the audience is having fun, the barrier to entry decreases, and the promotions are more effective. It's not just about making people laugh, it's about delivering something that makes sense to the user,” Nunez adds.

Engagement and community

The campaign also reinforces the brand's close relationship with users, connecting concrete offers to a cultural and humorous narrative. The expectation is to create continuous engagement, transform curiosity into action, and consolidate Capybara Week as an annual tradition. At the same time, SeuBet works to ensure that the public perceives long-term value, not just immediate financial gain. The combination of humor, Brazilian culture, and performance positions the brand as innovative, irreverent, and community-oriented.

“CapiWeek represents a creative response to the saturation of commercial dates and something that doesn't exist in the betting segment in Brazil. Instead of competing for space in already established events, we create our own moment, controlling the narrative, timing, and engagement with users,” concludes Nunez.
