Digital channels account for 23% of CAIXA Lottery revenue with a reduction in the minimum value for online bets.
CAIXA reported that 23% of the total revenue from CAIXA Lotteries now comes from digital channels, such as the website and app. The information was released this Wednesday (17), revealing that physical lottery outlets still maintain 77% of the total volume collected, despite the growth of online betting.
The minimum bet for online betting has been reduced from R$20 to R$2,50, corresponding to the price of the cheapest single bet available. According to data from IstoÉ Dinheiro, digital participation has grown compared to 2024, when it represented 19% of the total, while in-person betting accounted for 81%.
In the third quarter of 2025, total revenue from CAIXA Lotteries reached R$ 6,4 billion, representing an increase of 9,9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The reduction in the minimum value for online bets was implemented by CAIXA to expand access to digital platforms. The bank adopted the value of a simple bet for each modality as the minimum. As the "Dia de Sorte" lottery has the most accessible ticket, costing R$ 2,50, this became the general minimum value for bets placed through digital channels. Dia de Sorte draws take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 21 PM, and in the minimum bet, the player chooses seven numbers and one lucky month.
To place bets online, users need to access the CAIXA Online Lottery Portal or download the CAIXA Lottery app. The system automatically verifies the CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID) and the minimum age of 18 years before allowing any bets.
Through the CAIXA Lotteries app, registration is done only once, simply by entering your CPF (Brazilian tax identification number) and creating a six-digit password. After accessing the platform and logging in, the user can choose the desired lottery, select the numbers, and complete the payment.
Bets can be placed throughout the country via four official channels. The Online Lottery Portal is available at www.loteriasonline.caixa.gov.br . The CAIXA Lotteries App can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) and the Play Store (Android). CAIXA Internet Banking is available to bank account holders. For those who prefer the traditional method, bets can be placed in person at more than 13 lottery outlets across the country.
Among the available options, Mega-Sena stands out as Caixa's main game, holding draws three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, starting at 21 PM. The minimum bet costs R$ 6,00, allowing you to choose six numbers from the 60 available. Lotofácil, known for its ease of winning, has draws from Monday to Saturday at 21 PM, with a minimum bet of R$ 3,50 for 15 numbers marked.
Payment for online bets can be made by credit card or with a registered CAIXA account. After confirmation, the system generates a digital receipt that is available in the user's account history.
To claim prizes, bettors who used digital channels need to generate proof of the winning bet; presenting only their CPF (Brazilian tax identification number) or identity document is not sufficient.
CAIXA recommends that, in the case of high-value prizes, withdrawals should be made directly at bank branches, not at lottery outlets, to ensure greater security and accurate payment registration.
Other popular lottery games include Quina, drawn Monday through Saturday at 21 PM, with a single bet of R$ 3,00; Lotomania, with draws on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, starting at 21 PM, costing R$ 3,00; and Dupla Sena, which offers two draws in each contest on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 21 PM, with a minimum bet of R$ 3,00. For football fans, Timemania is drawn on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 21 PM, allowing you to choose ten numbers and your favorite team for R$ 3,50.
