With action cards and sign language interpretation, H2 hosts poker event for the hearing impaired.

The largest poker club in Latin America, H2 Sports Bar & Poker, will hold a special tournament on Saturday (29). Called Poker Beyond Sound, the event will bring together around 20 poker players with hearing impairments.
To meet the needs of these players, the event will have some unique features, such as sign language integrated into the game elements. For example, there will be action cards to indicate check, call, raise, fold, and all in. In this way, everyone at the table can understand what is happening in the hand, without depending on sound or the dealer's communication.
Another distinguishing feature is the presence of sign language interpreters – the language of the hearing impaired – to support the players, if necessary. The trophies are also personalized and special, made according to the project.
“The idea is to create an experience geared towards this community, showing that H2 offers an inclusive environment. We want people to feel welcome, safe and happy, knowing that this is a space for socializing and connection, where communication is not a barrier to playing,” says Robinson 'Robigol' Quiroga, Head of H2 Sports Bar & Poker and partner of the H2 group.
HISTORY OF INCLUSION
This is not the first time that H2 has organized inclusive poker tournaments. Last year, the club promoted a championship for visually impaired players that brought together more than 25 players and featured adapted decks of cards and chips.
Furthermore, since its founding over 20 years ago, H2 has also been recognized as one of the biggest promoters of women's poker, holding exclusive tournaments for women in its series such as CPH (Campeonato Paulista de Poker), Fun Festival, etc.
H2 Sports Bar & Poker is also the venue in Brazil where Ladies Weekend is held, the largest global event for women in poker, which takes place simultaneously in more than 10 countries. For three days, tournaments, activities, and meetups are held exclusively for women. This year the event will take place between October 16th and 18th.
