SBC Summit adds Global Payments Compliance panel to its 2026 agenda.

The SBC Summit will examine the technologies, strategies, and regulatory developments that underpin modern payments compliance in the panel “ Global Payments Compliance ,” which will take place on Wednesday, September 30.
The event brings together operators, compliance specialists, payments leaders, legal experts, and technology providers to examine how companies can strengthen payments, combat threats, and adapt to constantly evolving regulatory expectations.
The Global Payment Compliance panel will be part of the dedicated stage at the Payment Expert Summit , along with tracks covering Fintech (Tuesday, September 29) and Crypto & Blockchain (Thursday, October 1).
Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, stated: “Compliance with payment standards has become one of the biggest challenges in the industry. Operators are expected to strengthen fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and regulatory oversight, while simultaneously delivering the fast and seamless payment journeys that market participants demand.”
“But success isn’t about choosing between compliance and customer experience; it’s about getting both right. The Global Payments Compliance track is designed to help participants understand the strategies, technologies, and regulatory thinking that will enable them to do just that.”
The panel “ AML in Motion: Continuous Monitoring in Modern Gaming ” will explore how operators are integrating the latest advancements in compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. Experts Luis Carlos Pérez (AML Director at Lottofy), Gintarė Wycherley (Senior Solutions Engineer at SEON), James Boyles (Director of Player Experience at Evoke), Carmelo Mazza (CEO of Betaland/Enjoybet), and moderator George Rover (Managing Partner at Princeton Global Strategies) will examine how automation and smarter risk detection can strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary friction for players.
Next, attention will turn to one of the fastest-growing regions in the sector with the panel “ Cross-Border Compliance: Navigating AML in African Markets ”. As mobile money and alternative payment methods continue to accelerate growth across Africa, experts Maruf Lawal (COO, MOKO Afrika), Adenike Oyebamiji (Legal Compliance for West Africa, Velex Group) and moderator Maleek Oyiza (Head of Legal Affairs and Compliance, Tradabets) will participate in the event. We will discuss how operators can handle the different requirements in various jurisdictions while maintaining a seamless payment experience.
The balance between compliance and player privacy will be the main focus of the session “ How Much is Too Much Data? ”. Speakers James Myles (Head of Compliance at Dragonbet), Miguel Godinho (Senior Legal Advisor for Compliance at the Betclic Group), Vana Demetriou (Legal and Compliance Director at ZENOBET) and moderator Jochen Biewer (General Manager of the Chevron Group) will explore how operators can build robust processes that meet regulatory demands without exceeding constantly evolving data protection requirements.
The sessions throughout the day will also address the AML ( Anti-Money Laundering ) challenges presented by emerging game formats, through the session “ Preparing for AML in Emerging Game Formats ”, examine how prediction markets and AI (Artificial Intelligence) are reshaping financial supervision in “Prediction Markets, AI and the New Investment Arms Race”, and prepare participants for the next phase of European regulation with the session “ Preparing for the Full Implementation of AMLA”.
Participants wishing to continue the conversation after the conference ends can also take advantage of a series of networking initiatives dedicated to payments and compliance professionals.
