The national holiday of Tiradentes Day, celebrated next Tuesday, April 21st, will cause changes to the Caixa Lotteries calendar, so bettors should pay attention.
According to the schedule, there will be no draws on that day for some of the main lottery games, which will have their draws postponed. See which ones are affected below and how these draws and bets will resume.
According to the updated Caixa Lotteries calendar, the following lottery games, which were scheduled to have draws on Tuesday but will be paused, are: Lotofácil, Quina, Timemania, Dia de Sorte, and Mega-Sena.
With the change, the draws for these lotteries will be paused, but will resume on the next regular draw day for each one. It will be as follows: Lotofácil and Quina: have daily draws and will return on Wednesday, the 22nd; and Timemania, Dia de Sorte, and Mega-Sena: have regular draws on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, therefore they will resume draws on Thursday, the 23rd.
It is worth noting that on Monday the 20th, the draws will take place as normal, without any changes.
Mega-Sena R$ 70 million
The Brazilian Federal Savings Bank (Caixa Econômica Federal) cancelled the Mega-Sena lottery draw this Tuesday (April 21st) due to the Tiradentes holiday. The next draw, number 2999, will take place on Thursday (April 23rd) with an estimated prize of R$ 70 million. No one matched all six numbers on Saturday (April 18th).
The postponement gives bettors an extra day to register their bets. Those who are unable to place their bets by Thursday will have another chance on Saturday (April 25th), when the 3000th draw takes place.
