Inter is awaiting payment from Alfa Bet by Monday after a delay in the transfer of funds from its main sponsor.

Internacional expects to receive by this Monday (20) the payment from Alfa Bet, its main sponsor, referring to the installment that should have been paid on Friday of last week. Colorado received an indication from the betting company that the situation will be normalized in the coming days. The delay occurred amid changes in the sponsor's shareholding structure.
The justification presented by Alfa Bet to the Rio Grande do Sul club indicates that a restructuring among the company's partners compromised the fulfillment of the payment on the established date. According to reporting by ge Globo and ESPN , Alfa, sponsor of Grêmio and Internacional, is considering breaking its contract with the two Rio Grande do Sul teams. The betting company assured Inter that it will regularize the situation to maintain the partnership without conflicts.
The incident occurred when the payment scheduled for Friday was not made. Despite the delicate financial situation it faces, Colorado showed understanding with the explanation and awaits the conclusion of the agreement between the new partners of the sponsor.
The issue also affects Grêmio, which has a contract with the same company. While Inter is adopting a wait-and-see approach, its rival, Grêmio, is internally considering the possibility of terminating the contract if the situation does not normalize. According to ESPN, the betting company even consulted two other companies to find out who could assume the debts with the clubs and become the newest main sponsor of the pair, although the names of the companies contacted were not revealed.
The agreement signed in February 2025 between Alfa Bet and the Gre-Nal duo establishes annual payments totaling R$ 50 million. This represents a monthly transfer of R$ 4,16 million to each club. The contract has a duration of three years, with an expected end date in 2028.
Internacional reported that, despite the sponsor's delay, it managed to pay the players' salaries and image rights last week. Grêmio, on the other hand, had to seek a loan from a partner businessman to honor its salary commitments. According to ESPN, Grêmio had to turn to businessman Celso Rigo, who usually helps the club, to meet this month's obligations.
The previous week, Grêmio had already announced that it had not received the scheduled installment, while Internacional denied any delays in payments at that time. ESPN also reported that Grêmio is expected to delay payments for November and December and will only pay the amounts, estimated at R$ 12 million, starting in January 2026.
The impasse is occurring in Porto Alegre, where both clubs have maintained Alfa Bet as their main sponsor since the beginning of this year. Contacted by ESPN, Alfa denied that it is leaving the clubs, but the report found that the betting company is dissatisfied with the expected return.
