Lotomania celebrates 27 years and Super Sete completes 6 years in operation in the Brazilian market.

Lotomania and Super Sete, two Caixa Lotteries modalities, reached important milestones this Friday (2). Lotomania reached 27 years of existence, while Super Sete completed six years of operation in the Brazilian lottery market.
The Brazilian Federal Savings Bank (Caixa Econômica Federal) created Lotomania in 1999, with the first draw held on October 2nd of that year. In 2022, the game gained an additional draw in its weekly schedule, with draws taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, always at 20 PM. This standardization of schedule was implemented in August 2022 for all Caixa lottery games.
Super Sete, which also celebrates its anniversary today, is performing worse than initially projected. This game is part of a group of recent launches by Loterias Caixa that have not achieved the expected participation from bettors.
The Dia de Sorte, Super Sete, and +Milionária lottery games, most recently introduced by Loterias Caixa, are registering sales volumes below expectations when compared to the traditional games in the portfolio.
In 2025, Mega-Sena led the Caixa Lotteries' product mix, accounting for 40,72% of revenue, followed by Lotofácil with 31,54%, and Quina with 12,76%. Together, these three modalities concentrated 85,02% of sales for the year. Next came +Milionária (4,23%), Lotomania (2,90%), Dupla Sena (1,97%), Timemania (1,87%), Loteria Federal (1,20%), and Dia de Sorte (1,15%). Completing the portfolio, with a share of less than 1% each, were Lotex (0,71%), Loteca (0,58%), and Super Sete (0,39%).
Lotofácil turned 23 years old.
Lotofácil, on the other hand, celebrated its 22nd anniversary last Tuesday, a date that marks the holding of its first draw on September 29th. The second most popular game in the Caixa Lotteries, Lotofácil underwent significant changes starting in August 2020, when it adopted the format of daily draws.
Before this change, Lotofácil only held draws on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. With the change, it now follows the same pattern as Quina, with draws from Monday to Saturday. The game also incorporated additional prizes for draws ending in 0, increasing its appeal.
These modifications positively impacted the performance of Lotofácil. In 2021, the game even surpassed Mega-Sena in sales volume, becoming Caixa's most sold lottery, a position since recovered by Mega-Sena.
One of the attractions of Lotofácil is its comprehensive prize structure. More than 10% of tickets win prizes, even with smaller amounts. The game distributes one prize for every nine tickets sold, a more favorable ratio than Mega-Sena, where the chance of hitting four numbers is one in more than 2.300.
Lotofácil was inspired by Totobola, a game that previously operated in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul, and is considered the last successful adaptation launched by Caixa Econômica Federal.
To participate in Lotofácil, the bettor marks between 15 and 20 numbers out of the 25 available on the betting slip. Prizes are awarded to those who correctly guess 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15 numbers. The system offers the "Surpresinha" option, which automatically selects the numbers, and the "Teimosinha," which allows you to compete with the same bet for 3, 6, 12, 18, or 24 consecutive draws. The minimum bet, with 15 numbers, costs R$ 2,50.
Lotofácil also holds a special annual draw, the Lotofácil da Independência, on September 7th, except when this date falls on a Sunday. In this special draw, the prize does not accumulate – if there are no winners with 15 correct numbers, the amount is awarded to bettors who correctly guess 14 numbers.
