Master Botafogo celebrates 20 years with support from Rei da Sorte.
Twenty years of history brought together, in a single day, generations that helped build the identity of Botafogo. In the historic center of the Rio de Janeiro club, former athletes, legends, fans, and family members met to celebrate the anniversary of Master Botafogo in an event sponsored by Rei da Sorte , a betting site licensed by Loterj.
The initiative marked the group's arrival in the club's sporting universe and featured names such as Pantera, Jairzinho, Carlos Roberto, Fábio Artilheiro, Hamilton, and Marcelinho, figures who have been part of different eras of Botafogo's history.
Regulated gaming and social responsibility
Matt Sahakian, who has been responsible for the project since the start of operations under the Loterj license, represented the group at the event and highlighted the significance of the sponsorship. “It’s very important to sponsor and support these associations that keep the history, values, and community of the club alive,” he said. “In a context of regulation of our industry, it’s essential to continue contributing and communicating the positive impacts of regulated gambling on people’s lives, society, and sport.”
For Sahakian, the celebration was also a personal encounter with three institutions that marked his career. "I am very happy and moved to be able to contribute, even humbly, to the realization of moments that bring together institutions that were part of my professional evolution: Loterj, Master Botafogo, and Rei da Sorte," he declared.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to Dona Elizabeth for her organization and care at the Botafogo Club; in addition, she was responsible for the high-quality cuisine.

The group's central message goes beyond one-off sponsorship. In the company's view, regulated play has the potential to influence both on and off the field. "On and off the field, regulated play can contribute to social and sporting life. This is the message that inspires us and that we want to take forward, from Rio de Janeiro to the world," stated Sahakian.
The executive also articulated what he considers the foundation of Rei da Sorte's involvement in events like this. "Behind every license, every brand, and every operation, there is, above all, a responsibility: to contribute positively to society and to the communities that give meaning to our industry," he said.
The twentieth anniversary of Master Botafogo thus served as a stage for a broader stance: that the regulated betting sector can play an active role in building community ties and preserving sporting memory.
