Ministry of Labor approves registration of online betting union in São Paulo.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment approved, this Tuesday (August 4th), the union registration of Sindibets SP, an entity created to represent companies operating sports betting and online games in the State of São Paulo.

The decision, signed by the Director of the Department of Labor Relations based on Technical Analysis 1922, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Thursday (August 6). The union had filed the registration request in process number 19964.214453/2025-18.

Sindibets SP will have statewide scope and territorial base in the State of São Paulo. The entity was created to defend the cultural, political, economic, and employer interests of all fixed-odds betting operators, a modality regulated by Law No. 14.790, of December 29, 2023. The scope of representation includes both sports betting and online games.

Objections rejected.

To reach the approval, the Department of Labor Relations rejected and archived two objections filed against the registration. The first came from SEPRESP, the Union of Companies Providing Access and Connection to Telecommunications and Internet Networks in the State of São Paulo, whose objection process was registered under number 19964.203443/2026-38. The rejection was based on article 15, item III, of MTE Ordinance No. 3.472, of October 4, 2023.

The second objection came from Sincoesp, the Union of Commission Agents and Consignees of the State of São Paulo. This request was rejected based on items I and III of the same article 15 of the same ordinance. The BNL Data website had previously reported that the Labor Court also rejected a lawsuit filed by Sincoesp against the creation of Sindibets in São Paulo.

The registration was approved in accordance with article 19, item II, of MTE Ordinance No. 3.472, of October 4, 2023.
