Luis Gama: "The time is approaching for Brazil to put its gaming industry in order." — **Luis Gama takes over as Executive Secretary of CUOASEC and promises a new phase of representation for the industry that generates thousands of jobs in the country.**

Casino and entertainment venue operators in Uruguay have created the Uruguayan Chamber of Casino and Entertainment Venue Operators and Lessors (CUOASEC). The organization was founded last week and brings together the leading companies in the sector in the neighboring country. The organization's objective is to strengthen institutional representation and participate in the development of a modern regulatory framework for the Uruguayan gaming industry.

Luis Gama has been appointed Executive Secretary of CUOASEC. "The creation of CUOASEC signifies a new stage of representation and dialogue for the sector," Gama stated after his appointment.

Among the founding members of the Chamber are prominent companies in the Uruguayan market, such as Codere, which operates the Maroñas and the Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco, and Baluma SA, which manages Enjoy Punta del Este, one of the country's leading casino and hotel complexes.

CUOASEC also includes the participation of Compañía Rioplatense de Hoteles SA, operator of the Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel, Manteo SA, responsible for the Hotel Casino Rivera, Naranpark SA, which manages the Salto Hotel Casino, and Mirador Campero SA, which operates the Durazno Hotel Santa Cristina.

The companies that make up the new Chamber generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the Uruguayan economy. Furthermore, they invest in strategic areas such as infrastructure, technology, tourism, and economic development in different regions of the country.

As Executive Secretary, Luis Alberto Gama Hernández will be responsible for promoting a strategic agenda based on three pillars: strengthening institutional coordination, consolidating high-level dialogue, and encouraging decisions that drive the transformation of the casino and entertainment sector in Uruguay.

CUOASEC seeks to align Uruguayan market practices with international standards, contributing to the development of a responsible and modern gaming industry in the country.
