Brazilian Federal Police link owner of Banco Master to PixBet and 25% ownership of Atlético Mineiro.

The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) has identified dialogues in which an employee of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, states that the banker owns PixBet, one of the largest online betting companies in Brazil, and 25% of the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) that controls Atlético Mineiro. The messages are part of investigations into billion-dollar frauds linked to Banco Master and Vorcaro's relationships with government authorities, according to Veja magazine.
The dialogues involve Marilson Roseno da Silva, a former clerk of the Federal Police, identified in the investigations as a member of a group called "A Turma" (The Gang), described as responsible for monitoring and intimidating Vorcaro's adversaries. In an audio message sent on October 3, 2024, Marilson states to a contact identified on the cell phone as "Pk Caiava" that PixBet belongs to the "boss there in São Paulo" and that this same boss owns 25% of Atlético Mineiro. For the investigators, the reference to the "boss in São Paulo" is Daniel Vorcaro.
“Man, he won’t succeed, forget it. Only the p… Do you know who owns that PixBet thing? The boss from São Paulo. Who owns 25% of Galo. Actually, the sponsorship is even going to change there. I think next year it will be PixBet. It’s his. I think he’s going to put me in charge of managing it,” Marilson declared in the audio. When questioned by “Pk Caiava” about the identity of the boss, the former clerk replied: “It’s Daniel Vorcaro, man, who bought 25% there. It’s SAF.”
Allies and VIP tickets
In the same exchange of messages, “Pk Caiava” mentions a third character called “Mexirica” in the conversation, described as someone who also worked for Vorcaro. The Federal Police identified that “Mexirica” was the nickname of Felipe Mourão in Minas Gerais, also known as “Sicário” and identified as an ally of Vorcaro in the Banco Master frauds.
In another sequence of messages extracted from the banker's cell phone, investigators located dialogues showing that Vorcaro took steps to obtain VIP tickets for the children of Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes to attend the Atlético Mineiro vs. Grêmio match at Arena MRV in mid-May 2024.
According to the Federal Police, the episode deepens the close relationship between the banker and the Supreme Court Justice. Alexandre de Moraes is being investigated in the case because his wife's law firm signed a contract worth R$ 131 million to provide services to Vorcaro.
Separation from the club
In a statement released in November 2025, Atlético Mineiro announced Vorcaro's removal from the SAF (Sociedade Anônima do Futebol - Football Limited Company) that manages the club. "The decision stems from publicly known facts that created impediments to the regular exercise of his functions," the club stated in the announcement.
