Nevada's gaming revenue reaches $1,28 billion in May.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) reported that the state's casinos generated $1,28 billion in gaming revenue in May. This represents a 0,8% decrease compared to the previous year.

The Las Vegas Strip generated $715,9 million, a 2,1% decrease compared to the previous year. Clark County as a whole, which includes the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip, and adjacent areas, generated $1,1 billion, a 1% decrease. Washoe County, which includes casinos in Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe, saw a 3,7% increase in revenue compared to the previous year.

Slots accounted for $877,8 million of the total revenue for the month, while table, counter, and card game revenue reached $411,1 million. Sports betting generated $30,1 million in revenue, an 11% increase compared to 2022. Sports betting decreased by 6%, to $527 million. Mobile sports betting represented 67,9% of all sports betting.

The state collected $84,2 million in percentage taxes during the month of June 2023, based on taxable revenues generated in May 2023. This represents a 1,69% decrease (or $1,4 million) compared to June of the previous year, when percentage tax revenue was $85,7 million.
