The Ministry of Finance publishes a decree for monitoring and inspecting the activities of gambling operators and their operators. — To date, SPA/MF has published 43 definitive and 26 provisional authorizations. Currently, 78 companies are authorized to operate, 69 definitively and provisionally (71 authorizations) and seven through court decision, totaling 173 trademarks.

The Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance – SPA/MF published in the Official Gazette of the Union – DOU this Tuesday (18) ordinances with a new list of companies authorized to operate fixed-odds betting on a permanent basis. In total, eight new permanent authorizations were issued, valid until December 31, 2029, for 18 brands.

To date, SPA/MF has published 43 definitive and 26 provisional authorizations. Currently, there are 78 companies authorized to operate, 69 definitively and provisionally (71 authorizations) and seven through court decision, totaling 173 trademarks.

Provisional authorizations were granted to companies that completed the initial stages of the authorization process, but which, at the end of the 30-day period, failed to meet all the requirements in time, and their outstanding issues were deemed solvable. Thus, the number of companies with provisional authorization fell from 54 to 26.

The companies were authorized to operate the fixed-odds betting lottery modality, under the terms of Laws No. 13.756, of December 12, 2018, and No. 14.790, of December 29, 2023, the Ordinances issued by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets, and based on the information contained in the SIGAP process.

The Official Gazette also published two corrections to ordinances correcting the names of fixed-odds betting brands. The first corrected the spelling of Betsul (where it reads: “Brands: CASA DE APOSTAS, BET SUL and JOGO ONLINE”, it should read: “Brands: CASA DE APOSTAS, BETSUL and JOGO ONLINE”) and the second correction was for the Gingabet brand (where it reads: “Brands: GIGABET, QGBET and VIVASORTE”, it should read: “Brands: GINGABET, QGBET and VIVASORTE”).
