SOFTSWISS is the first technology provider to join ANJL, and you have been appointed Director of Communications for the association. Why is this move so significant at this time?
Carla Dualib: Brazil is experiencing a decisive moment. We are moving from the expectation phase to the implementation of the regulated market, with a shift in approach from more reactive to more proactive. For SOFTSWISS, joining ANJL goes far beyond simply being part of the association. It's about actively participating in a trusted ecosystem and contributing to making regulation work more efficiently in practice. As the only technology provider within the association, we bring a unique perspective: we are responsible for the technology that acts as the "engine" behind regulation. Our role is to ensure that technology is the foundation of a more transparent and professional industry.
What "tech-first" mindset does SOFTSWISS bring to the ANJL board?
Carla Dualib: SOFTSWISS is a global technology leader powering over 1.200 brands worldwide. This gives us a very solid perspective, based on data and operational experience. My goal is to show the community how advanced technological tools can anticipate and solve regulatory challenges before they even arise. We want to demonstrate that technology should not be seen as an obstacle for operators, but rather as their greatest ally in achieving high performance while ensuring full compliance. By sharing this experience, SOFTSWISS helps the entire Brazilian community evolve towards a more mature, structured, and data-driven business model.
Can you tell us more about your new role as Director of Communications at ANJL?
Carla Dualib: My main mission is to help build a strong, connected, and truly engaged community among all professionals in the sector. We want to leave behind the logic of isolated action and move towards a more collaborative environment. I will focus on creating spaces that encourage knowledge sharing, professional networking, and qualified dialogue between operators, technology providers, and regulators. When we strengthen this sense of community, we can establish standards of excellence for the entire sector and ensure that each member has a voice in building a sustainable market.

How does your role at SOFTSWISS complement your new responsibilities at the association?
Carla Dualib: There is a very natural synergy between the two roles. At SOFTSWISS, I work to help our partners grow through innovation. At ANJL, I contribute to strengthening the entire sector through institutional development. With over 30 years of experience in the Brazilian market, I can act as a bridge. SOFTSWISS is a global leader, and by sharing our international experience with the ANJL community, we help raise the level of the entire ecosystem. We believe that a stronger and more connected community creates a safer, more structured, and also more profitable market for everyone.
What is your message for companies that are considering becoming part of this ecosystem?
Carla Dualib: Being part of ANJL is a true seal of credibility. It's an invitation to participate in building a regulated market of international standard. More than just a title, the association offers technical support, institutional visibility, and the collective strength of a community that works in alignment. Ultimately, it's about investing in a future where the Brazilian market is globally recognized for its integrity and professionalism.
