Superbet debuts as the first betting platform on the Brazilian Apple Store.
The company released the app on Monday after Apple modified its guidelines last Thursday and authorized the distribution of regulated fixed-odds betting apps in the country.

Superbet has made its app available on the Brazilian Apple Store. The company became the first betting platform present in Apple's digital store in the country. The launch took place this Monday (May 11).

Apple modified its guidelines on Thursday (May 8). The change authorized the distribution of fixed-odds betting apps in Brazil. The decision fulfills a request from the regulated sports betting and iGaming industry in the country, a demand that gained momentum after the advancement of Brazilian regulation and the start of official operations by licensed operators.

Superbet was the first regulated operator to operate in the country. The company preceded other companies in the sector in the process of adapting to legal requirements.

Users of devices with the iOS operating system can download the app directly from the official store. The platform complies with Apple's digital distribution standards. The software also meets Brazilian regulations for the betting sector.

Requirements for distribution on the App Store

Operators interested in making their apps available must meet specific requirements during the App Review process . Among these requirements is the submission of a new version of the app for review—it's important to note that simply updating the App Review Information section on App Store Connect will not initiate a review. Submitting information regarding the Brazilian license issued by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance – SPA-MF is also mandatory.

The inclusion of regulatory data in App Review scores is among the requirements established by Apple. Submitting supporting documentation of operational authorization completes the list of requirements. Apps classified as containing gambling content must use an age rating of “18+” in Brazil — this rating is automatically applied when the developer answers “Yes” to the question about gambling in the age rating questionnaire.

Legal compliance and consumer protection

Apple emphasizes that apps must comply with all disclosure and warning requirements, including but not limited to age restrictions and gambling risks, as required by Brazilian law. For questions related to legal obligations, the company recommends that developers consult their legal advisors.

The change in Apple's guidelines has allowed fixed-odds betting companies to distribute their apps in the Brazilian store. Superbet took advantage of this opportunity. iPhone and iPad users in the country already have access to the software.

Impact on the Brazilian market

The iOS ecosystem maintained stricter restrictions for betting apps in the Brazilian market. The limitations imposed by the platform led several operators to prioritize mobile web versions and PWAs ( Progressive Web Apps ) instead of native apps. Apple now formally recognizes the Brazilian regulatory environment as suitable for the distribution of betting apps within the national App Store .

The market interprets the update as a sign of consolidation of the Brazilian regulated betting environment. In recent months, licensed operators, sector entities, and regulatory agents have advocated for greater alignment of large digital platforms with the new national regulatory framework. The measure aims to broaden the differentiation between licensed and illegal operators.

Mobile devices currently represent the main gateway for Brazilian bettors. The predominance of access via smartphones characterizes the behavior of this audience. The official availability of iOS apps can contribute to increased conversion rates and greater user retention.

Improved user experience is among the expected benefits of the change. Utilizing native operating system resources expands technical possibilities. Strengthening CRM strategies and push notifications also forms part of the advantages of official distribution.

This move brings Brazil closer to regulated European markets, where apps from authorized operators already operate normally within official mobile ecosystems. The change is likely to impact the commercial and user acquisition strategies of licensed operators. The update reinforces the international recognition of the Brazilian regulatory model by major global technology companies.
