Superbet gets ahead of the curve and launches a free app that blocks access to betting sites in Brazil.

Superbet released this Wednesday (4) the Brazilian version of BetBlocker, an application that prevents access to betting platforms. The tool, which does not require registration or user identification, is available for various operating systems such as Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux and Fire OS.

The app blocks over 325 gambling websites and apps, including both regulated and illegal platforms. As reported by Diogo Dantas in Globo Online, Brazil has already become the initiative's main global market, with 50 active users utilizing the tool.

The launch takes place before the full implementation of federal regulations outlined in Ordinance SPA/MF No. 2.579/2025, which will establish guidelines for user protection in the official betting system. Superbet was one of the first companies in the sector to incorporate BetBlocker into its suite of tools.

Among the available features is the Scheduler, a resource that allows users to set specific times or days to block access to betting. The app also offers a total blocking mode, temporary options, and parental controls for devices used by children.

One important feature of BetBlocker is its anonymous operation, requiring no email, document, or any personal data to be provided. Once installed, the program automatically blocks access to betting websites and applications registered in its database.

The tool is intended for people who want to reduce their gambling consumption, avoid impulsive decisions, or establish periods of rest. However, the app is not a substitute for professional treatment for gambling-related problems.

“Regulation has organized the environment for licensed operators, and we support this movement. Bringing BetBlocker to Brazil complements this structure by offering users a simple way to stop accessing bets directly on their own device. It is an initiative that reinforces responsible gambling practices and expands the self-control alternatives available outside the platform,” stated Alexandre Fonseca, CEO of Superbet.
