A decree published this Monday in the Official Gazette establishes code 9197 for payment of social security contributions via DARF (Federal Revenue Collection Document), effective from April 1st; check the codes.
The initiative threatens resources allocated to the National Public Security Fund (FNSP) and the National Penitentiary Fund (Funpen). According to calculations based on online betting revenue, public security would lose R$ 1,35 billion with the prohibition. These funds will receive 30% of the betting revenue under Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) 18/25, approved in the Chamber of Deputies. Recent PT (Workers' Party) surveys indicated an upward trend in respondents' concern regarding public security.
