Senate postpones vote on bill that increases taxation on online betting from 12% to 24%.

Renan Calheiros canceled the session after learning that the Speaker of the House, Hugo Motta, does not intend to put Bill 5473/2025 to a vote. The text also increases the CSLL (Social Contribution on Net Profit) for digital financial institutions. The proposal is part of a fiscal package to enable income tax exemption up to R$ 5. The vote is expected to be rescheduled for next week.
