Fantástico this Sunday (19) had exclusive access to images from minutes before the arrest of influencer Bruno Alexssander Souza Silva, known as Buzeira, targeted by the Federal Police on suspicion of money laundering. The operation took place on the morning of last Tuesday (14), in a luxury mansion in Igaratá, in the interior of São Paulo. ( Watch the Fantástico report video )

It was six in the morning when Buzeira got a fright looking out the window of his house. In the images, he alerts his wife, who gets up quickly. She points to a cell phone, and the influencer picks up the device and goes to another room. His wife, who is pregnant, follows him.

When Buzeira reappears in the footage, he no longer has the weapon or the cell phone in his hand. The video, which Fantástico had access to, is almost six minutes long and uncut. Other images of the incident are circulating on social media.

According to the police report, there were "several friendly attempts to get Buzeira to open the doors." Since he did not comply, the police tried to force entry, until the influencer's brother allowed the police access through the balcony.

Luxury cars, more than 30 motorcycles, electronics, and two stones identified as emeralds with a certificate of authenticity valued at R$1,7 billion were also taken — but the forensic examination will still determine the real value of the pieces.

From online raffles to ostentatious displays

Born in the outskirts of the East Zone of São Paulo, Buzeira became a millionaire before the age of 30. He gained fame during the pandemic by promoting online raffles, and later began raffling off cars, motorcycles, and cash prizes.

"I'm going to find someone and offer them a year's salary, would you accept?", he said in one of his videos.

With over 15 million followers, the influencer showcased moments with his family, acts of charity, parties, and ostentatious displays of wealth. In 2024, he posted photos in a Dubai pool overlooking the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The caption read:

"One day you will reach where you dreamed of! Have faith. Things change, better days will come. The difficulties you face today will make sense in the future!"

But, according to the Federal Police, the trip was not for vacation, but for business. Buzeira and the accountant Rodrigo Morgado allegedly went to Dubai to open companies and seek tax advantages and secrecy in financial operations.

“We were able to identify a sophisticated money laundering scheme with him as its central figure,” explains Marcelo Maceiras, regional delegate of the Federal Police in São Paulo. Morgado was already under investigation in 2022 for drug trafficking.

The relationship between Buzeira and Morgado

Conversations between Buzeira and Morgado, obtained by the Federal Police, show exchanges of messages from 2023 to April 2025:

– “Are you facing drug trafficking charges??? Is that true?? That could screw me over too,” Buzeira asked in October 2024.

– “They’re telling you nonsense,” Morgado replied.

In another audio recording, the accountant instructs the influencer to purchase a physical device to store cryptocurrencies without tracking.

– “Which is without government leftovers. And then you leave all your investments so you can accumulate wealth,” says Morgado.

According to the investigation, millions of dollars raised through unregulated raffles and betting houses were diverted through front companies, shell businesses, cryptocurrencies, and international transfers. Then, they returned to the formal economy in the form of luxury goods, real estate, and investments.

The R$50 million bill and the betting business.

One piece of evidence found was an invoice for R$ 50 million, issued by a company in Buzeira in February 2024. The document refers to six months of "advertising services" for a company based in Curaçao, in the Caribbean.

According to the Federal Police, this is a "clear attempt to simulate a legitimate origin to justify the entry of capital."

In their messages, Morgado and Buzeira discuss the movement of large sums of money:

– “I need you to expedite another 25 million by Monday at the latest, can you do that? After you open the account tomorrow, we have to deposit the 50 million,” Morgado writes.

– “I have 13 million from the raffle. How much do you have?”, Buzeira replies.

– “22.476.026”, Morgado replies.

Police believe the money was intended to obtain a national license to operate betting shops. When that plan failed, the two attempted to buy an already licensed company.

“One of the betting companies was properly established, the necessary fees were paid, but it split into several other betting companies. So only one fee was paid, and several betting companies are operating under that umbrella,” explained Delegate Marcelo.

With their assets frozen and both arrested, the multi-million dollar friendship between the influencer and the accountant is a thing of the past.

"You're in a helicopter, then I saw a boat, then I saw you're in a McLaren... I don't understand! Where are you getting this money from?", Buzeira asks.

“Yes, boss, you don’t need to be a millionaire, you just need to have millionaire friends,” Morgado replies. “Then you buy everything together and everything’s fine.”

What the defenses say

Buzeira's lawyer canceled the interview he was scheduled to give to Fantástico. In a statement, he said that his client has never been involved with drug trafficking, criminal association, or money laundering.

Rodrigo Morgado's defense stated in a note that he "did not participate in any illegal activity and that his conduct has always been guided by respect for the law."
