Anderson Neiff ignores ban and promotes online betting site to 12 million followers.

Singer Anderson Neiff, with 12 million followers on Instagram, promoted online betting platforms on social media this Thursday (October 22). The promotion comes after the federal government banned betting advertising in the country in September 2026.
This practice violates Provisional Measure 1.394 of 2026, signed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on September 25. Poder360, which first reported the case, verified that the Betaya website, publicized by Neiff, remains online and accepts new registrations for online betting.
The decree prohibited the operation, offering, intermediation, and advertising of fixed-odds betting in Brazil, including online games. More than 13 websites were blocked, including 188 that were authorized to operate in the country.
Because it is a provisional measure, the text still needs to be analyzed by the National Congress. Companies in the sector are challenging the provisional measure in the Supreme Federal Court, and Minister Luiz Fux is expected to decide on the case after the second round of elections.
History of irregularities
This is not the first time Neiff has promoted illegal betting platforms. In August 2025, the singer used Instagram Stories to promote a platform that was not on the list of operators authorized by the Ministry of Finance. The posts were removed from his profile the following day.
On the same day as the announcement, Neiff participated in a meeting with President Lula during the head of state's visit to Pernambuco. The meeting brought together artists from the Recife brega scene and was organized by federal deputy Pedro Campos (PSB-PE). According to the Planalto's Secom (Special Secretariat for Social Communication), the objective was to introduce the artists to the president and thank him for signing the law that established National Brega Day.
At the same event, the singer responded to a follower's comment saying he would lose fans for posting a video alongside Lula. Neiff stated that he is "neither left nor right."
Poder360 reached out to Anderson Neiff's press office and the Betaya website for comment on the facts, but received no response by the time of publication.

On August 14, 2025, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) met with representatives of the brega music scene in Recife during a visit to the capital of Pernambuco. The meeting took place during an event celebrating the National Brega Day Law, with the presence of Mayor João Campos and Federal Deputy Pedro Campos, both from the PSB party.
Anderson Neiff's presence at the event generated repercussions for two reasons. "The problem is that the influencer Anderson Neiff, who is alongside President Lula, promotes illegal websites ( fryepg.com )." Furthermore, a show by the group Os Neiffs, held in July in the city of Cubati, in the Seridó region of Paraíba, is under police investigation due to the performance of an 11-year-old girl. The same event ended with a teenager dead and two injured during a fight.
