Caixa updates lottery manual and includes group betting in Loteca.
Caixa Loterias SA has published version 19 of the Product Manual – CAIXA Lotteries. The document was released this Monday (March 9th) in the Official Gazette of the Union through Circular No. 1.102/24.02.2026 . The update brings seven modifications to the rules for the commercialization and operation of lottery products.
Caixa Loterias SA operates under authorization from Caixa Econômica Federal, the administrator of the Federal Lotteries by delegation from the Federal Government.
The manual consolidates regulatory provisions regarding federal lotteries. It addresses definitions, modalities, sales channels, characteristics, fees, revenue distribution, prizes, and drawings for the Prognostics Lotteries and the Federal Ticket Lottery.
Bolão arrives at Loteca
The main novelty is the inclusion of group bets for Loteca. This type of collective betting, already existing in other lotteries, will now have specific regulations for the sports prediction contest. The measure expands the participation options for bettors.
The marketing of Instantânea Digital has received updates to its operational rules. The manual now includes the sale of physical Instantânea tickets. Bettors will have access to this option in both digital and traditional paper formats.
The closing time for bets on sports prediction lotteries has been changed. The change affects contests that depend on the results of sporting events. The manual does not specify the new times.
Refund rules
The document establishes rules for refunding bets placed in digital group bets on the Marketplace . The regulation defines procedures for returning funds in specific situations related to group bets placed through the digital platform.
