The organization celebrated the great interest generated by the meeting at the regional level, highlighting the shared need to build in-person spaces for dialogue, training, and interaction in the area of state lotteries.

The event “The Social Role of Lotteries in Times of Transformation” will bring together authorities, experts, and representatives of gaming companies from across Latin America for a collective reflection on the current challenges, changes, and new demands of the sector. The event will be organized with the support of WLA and the Paraná State Lotteries (Lottopar) as the host entity.

CIBELAE highlighted the overwhelming positive response received at this edition and expressed gratitude for the commitment of all associated and supporting organizations, as well as those who actively participated in the registration process.

"Presidents and directors of more than 30 lotteries and regulatory bodies from Latin America, the United States, and Asia have confirmed their participation, including ten presidents of state lotteries in Brazil," they emphasized.

Some of the authorities already confirmed include the Secretary of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance, Regis Dudena; the Attorney General of the State of Paraná, Luciano Borges; and the President of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Paraná, Deputy Alexandre Curi.

Also present will be prominent figures such as Andreas Kötter, President of the World Lottery Association (WLA); Javier Milián, President of Cibelae; Esmeralda Britton, First Vice-President of Cibelae; and Alfonso Galiano Martínez, from ONCE (Spain).

The seminar program will include panel discussions, discussion panels, and networking opportunities, focusing on the positive social impact that state lotteries can and should have in a global context where technologies are advancing and regulations need to adapt responsibly.

With a focus on strengthening ties between the different member countries and generating an enriching exchange of experiences and knowledge, the meeting promises to be a milestone in CIBELAE's institutional calendar.

“Foz do Iguaçu, world-renowned for the Iguaçu Falls, is a strategic location that complements the seminar's commitment to sustainability. The state of Paraná has been recognized by the OECD as the most sustainable state in the world for the fourth consecutive year, reinforcing its alignment with the event's principles,” the organizers concluded.
