'The player comes first': SOFTSWISS's responsible gaming guidelines

SOFTSWISS, a leading software provider with over 15 years of experience in iGaming, will participate in the European Safer Gaming Week. From November 18th to 24th, the company will join the iGaming community, sharing its insights on responsible gaming.
More than a quarter of the world's population has played games at some point in their lives. Recognizing responsible gaming not only as an impactful iGaming trend, but also as one of its core values, SOFTSWISS implements the 'players come first' principle across all its products and solutions. In line with licensing requirements and the safest gaming best practices, the company ensures that operators have all the necessary tools to provide the best player experience.
AI-based tools
Alongside the traditional core elements, SOFTSWISS is developing innovative AI-based options. A groundbreaking risk scoring system will accompany deposit limits, self-exclusion opportunities, reality checks, and other standard features.
The risk scoring system is designed to identify early signs of gambling problems, signaling suspicious behavior such as increased spending or attempts to recoup losses. Early detection helps responsible gambling agents intervene before the problem becomes more serious.
High standards for player well-being have earned SOFTSWISS recognition with the prestigious Responsible Gaming Award at SiGMA Africa 2024.
Professional development
The SOFTSWISS team is committed to staying up-to-date with industry standards by participating in regular training and refresher courses. These ongoing sessions ensure the team is informed about the latest developments, best practices, and advancements in responsible gaming policies, reinforcing the company's dedication to a safer gaming environment.
Most members of the Anti-Fraud team hold responsible gaming certifications from respected institutions such as GamCare, Gaming Operations Academy, Sustainable Interaction, and iGaming Academy, among others. This commitment to continuous learning reflects SOFTSWISS's belief that companies supporting responsible gaming must constantly enhance their team's expertise to meet evolving challenges.
Player awareness
It is crucial to highlight the true spirit of gambling as a source of entertainment, but not a quick path to financial gain. Shaping this perspective and revealing the potential pitfalls of uncontrolled gambling habits can act as a safeguard, steering gamblers away from potential crises. Promoting this awareness from the outset fosters a balanced and thoughtful approach to gambling.
SOFTSWISS actively supports gamers who may need additional assistance, directing them to trusted organizations that offer free and confidential help. The company continually expands its network of these support resources to provide gamers with personalized assistance that addresses specific challenges they may encounter. This commitment ensures that every gamer can access the most relevant and effective support available.
Emilia Kurzynska, deputy head of the anti-fraud team at SOFTSWISS, shares: “Our responsibility goes beyond simply offering a gaming platform. It’s about supporting our customers and players in fostering a balanced relationship with gambling. We collaborate closely with operators to identify early indicators of problematic behavior and respond proactively. For us, the goal is to keep gambling as a source of entertainment, not harm.”
During the European Safer Gaming Week, Eleni Panagiotopoulou, Head of the Anti-Money Laundering Team at SOFTSWISS, will speak at the webinar “ The Role of KYC in Safer Gaming: Combating Fraud with Technology ”. The European Gaming and Betting Association and Sumsub will host the webinar on November 21st.
