Senator Soraya Thronicke (Podemos-MS) told CNN that she has reinforced her personal security due to alleged threats she began receiving on the eve of the release of the Betting CPI report.

The document, which was rejected by the committee, called for the indictment of 16 individuals under investigation, including businesspeople, owners of betting houses, and celebrities such as Virgínia Fonseca and Deolane Bezerra.

"I received veiled threats, messages insinuating that I was messing with dangerous people. They tried to silence me with intimidation and blackmail, but they didn't succeed," she told CNN Brazil.

The congresswoman claims she took the case to the Federal Police and registered everything at a notary's office.

"Today, I walk with security, not by choice, but out of necessity. It is unacceptable that a senator of the Republic needs this type of protection for carrying out her duty," she added.

According to the senator, the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) is over, but what it revealed "continues to bother many people." "If something happens to me, my family, or my team, I know exactly where it came from," she added.
Report denied.

The report from the Betting CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) was rejected by a vote of 4 to 3. Senators Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA), Eduardo Gomes (PL-TO), Efraim Filho (União-PB), and Professora Dorinha Seabra (União-TO) voted against the report. The rapporteur and Senators Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE) and Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) voted in favor.

The difficulty in approving the text was already expected by the rapporteur. Soraya Thronicke's intention, even without the approved opinion, is to send copies of the document to authorities such as the Attorney General's Office (PGR), the Supreme Federal Court (STF), the Federal Police (PF), the Ministry of Finance, and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) himself.
