Tiago Pereira, from Rio Grande do Sul, began his career on the straight tracks of his state, and later competed at the Cristal Hippodrome in Porto Alegre.

Brazilian rider Tiago Josué Pereira, riding Tripoli (Hrionis Racing), won his first G1 race in the USA, with the victory this Saturday (21), in Del Mar, of the TVG Pacific Classic, a race with a US$ 1 million purse. Tejota was brilliant on the winner's back, giving beautiful direction to the son of Kitten's Joy who ran in third place, always on the inside rail. Tripoli entered the straight attacking the leader Tizamagician. Bringing more action than his rival, the chestnut dominated the situation, ran to the rail and was never caught. Tizamagician finished second. Royal Ship participated in the race and finished in fifth place.

A son of Kitten's Joy and Love Train, by Tapit, bred by Blue Devil Racing Stable, Tripoli races for Hrionis Racing, which, like trainer John Sadler, achieved its third career victory – Accelerate (2018) and High Power (2019).
