R$ 1,33 billion is still awaiting redemption; funds not voluntarily withdrawn to date will be returned by banks between October 9 and 14.

Anyone who still has money in betting accounts must request a withdrawal by 23:59 pm this Monday (5). Today is the last day for the voluntary withdrawal of funds from the platforms, before the closure of operations. From this Tuesday (6), the sites and applications will cease to operate, according to the implementation schedule of Provisional Measure No. 1.394/2026, which prohibited the exploitation, offering, intermediation and advertising of fixed-odds betting in the country.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance updated this Monday, R$ 1,33 billion is still awaiting redemption on the platforms, a reduction of R$ 775,6 million since September 26. In the same period, the number of CPF holders with a positive balance fell by 2,36 million, from 28,9 million to 26,54 million.

The advice is to access the platforms where the user is registered, check if there is a balance, and request a withdrawal today, even if the amount is small. Those who have accounts with more than one company should check each one individually.

Small balances should also be withdrawn — Approximately 92% of accounts with a positive balance have less than R$10, and more than 96% have less than R$25. Even in these cases, users should request the withdrawal within the deadline.

The funds are concentrated in a small percentage of accounts: approximately 1% hold 80% of the balance; 3,4% hold 90%; and 8,3% represent 96% of the resources. These percentages refer to accounts on the platforms, and the same individual taxpayer ID (CPF) can have accounts with different companies.

HOW WILL THE REFUND BE MADE AFTER THE DEADLINE? — Amounts not withdrawn voluntarily will follow the refund schedule. Between October 7th and 8th, companies must inform financial institutions of any remaining balances, broken down by CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID). From October 9th to 14th, it will be up to the banks to process the refund.

If there are any impediments to the refund, starting October 14th the funds will be transferred to Caixa Econômica Federal, which will be responsible for returning the money to the bettors.

CHECK THE DEADLINES:

⇒ Until 23:59 PM today, October 5th: voluntary withdrawal of money from the platforms.

⇒ Starting October 6th: betting websites and apps will cease operations.

⇒ October 7th and 8th: Companies inform banks of unwithdrawn balances, by CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer registration number).

⇒ From October 9th to 14th: banks will process the refunds.

– Starting October 14th: funds whose reimbursement has been prevented will be transferred to Caixa Econômica Federal, which is responsible for the return. (With information from the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Federal Government )
