Virginia, Carlinhos Maia, and Deolane become defendants in a lawsuit involving betting houses.

Fábia Oliveira's column in Metrópoles exclusively revealed that influencers Virgínia Fonseca, Carlinhos Maia, and Deolane Bezerra have become defendants in a lawsuit involving online betting in Goiânia.
Currently among the biggest names on social media in Brazil, the three are known, among other things, for promoting gambling establishments.
The lawsuit was filed by a man who claims to have lost R$ 560 over the course of a year gambling on online platforms. He alleges that the three influencers directly contributed to his financial and emotional situation through abusive advertising that led him to believe he would profit from gambling—which did not happen.
The author also holds the banks with which he transacted responsible, alleging a failure to identify atypical financial transactions during the period in which he was addicted to gambling.
In the lawsuit, the man requests that Virgínia, Carlinhos, and Deolane be held jointly liable for the damages suffered. He also asks that the three stop promoting betting platforms and delete the content already published.
Furthermore, he is requesting R$ 20 in damages for emotional distress and the restitution of the more than R$ 500 lost, an amount that, according to him, should be claimed from the financial institutions involved.
