February 17th is International Responsible Gaming Day, which encompasses a set of actions adopted by those who manage lotteries, games, and betting with the goal of: preventing minors under 18 from placing bets and providing guidance on prevention and treatment of gambling-related harms. Furthermore, Responsible Gaming can be viewed as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility, with segmented guidelines for the gaming, lottery, and betting industry.

In Brazil, Caixa Econômica Federal has established its Responsible Gaming Program and follows international best practices on the subject. As a member of the World Lottery Association – WLA, CEF adheres to the guidelines of the World Lottery Association, which brings together state lotteries in 76 countries across 5 continents.
