Boca Juniors unveils new jersey for Copa Sudamericana match against Cruzeiro.
This Thursday, August 15th, the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 final will take place between Boca Juniors and Cruzeiro. Among the new features that both teams presented in preparation for the game, the new Boca Juniors uniform for the 2024/2025 season, announced today, stands out.
The home shirt retains the traditional blue with the central stripe, this time in a more vibrant yellow, and features a new pattern of diagonal lines in a darker shade, inspired by the Ferrosur Roca train tracks. This pattern is a tribute to the La Boca neighborhood in Buenos Aires, where the team originated, and to the freight railway that runs alongside La Bombonera stadium.
“The Ferrosur train is a symbol rooted in the heart of La Boca and in the culture of its fans, reflecting the essence and origins of the club and the neighborhood,” the designers said when revealing the new jersey.
The Argentinian club will unveil its new uniform to its fans this Thursday during the match against Cruzeiro in the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, in which both teams are favorites for the continental title.
“We know that fans get excited every time they see the team in a new jersey. That's why we want to celebrate the launch of this new uniform alongside the fans, offering them an entertaining and exciting experience while they support Boca in the match against Cruzeiro,” said Andrea Rossi, commercial director of Betsson for Latin America, the official sponsor of the Argentine club.
