Exclusive bets for the Mega da Virada lottery have begun.
With the closing of bets for Mega-Sena contest 2.329 at 7 pm last Saturday (December 19th), all bets in that modality are now exclusively for the Mega da Virada. The prize is estimated at R$ 300 million and does not accumulate, meaning that if there are no winning bets with six numbers, the prize will be divided among those who correctly guessed five numbers – and so on, according to the prize tiers.
If only one winner correctly guesses the six numbers in the Mega da Virada lottery and invests the estimated prize in a CAIXA savings account, they will have a monthly income of R$ 347,7. If the winner of this jackpot chooses to live a life of luxury, they could buy a private jet, a yacht, a supercar, and a mansion on a private island, spending less than 10% of the prize. The cost of a simple Mega-Sena bet, with six numbers, is R$ 4,50.
How to bet:
Bets for the Mega da Virada lottery can be placed until 17 PM (Brasilia time) on December 31, 2020, at lottery outlets throughout the country, and through the CAIXA Lotteries portal (www.loteriasonline.caixa.gov.br) and through the CAIXA Lotteries app, available for users of Android and iOS platforms. To play Mega da Virada, CAIXA customers can also place bets through CAIXA Internet Banking.
To play online at the CAIXA Lotteries Portal, bettors must be over 18 years old and complete a short registration. Customers choose their numbers, add them to their cart, and pay for all their bets at once using a credit card. The minimum purchase amount on the Portal (which can include bets from all modalities available on the site) is R$ 30,00 and the maximum is R$ 945,00 per day.
CAIXA Lottery Pool:
To increase your chances of winning, simply form a group, choose your numbers, select the number of shares, and register at any lottery outlet in the country. Once registered in the system, the bet generates a share receipt for each participant who, in case of a prize, can redeem their share of the prize individually.
The minimum bet price for group bets in Mega-Sena contests is R$ 10,00, and each share must be at least R$ 5,00. It is possible to create a group bet with a minimum of two and a maximum of 100 shares.
The bettor can also purchase shares in group bets organized by lottery outlets. Simply ask the attendant for the number of shares you want and keep the receipt to check the bet on the day of the draw.
