The Bingo Bill could be voted on Wednesday morning.

Members of Parliament are expected to try to vote in the extraordinary session this Wednesday morning (16) on the request for urgency for the substitute bill from the Economic Development, Industry and Trade Committee to Bill 1986/03, which legalizes bingo in Brazil. The idea of putting the topic on the agenda came from some leaders of the government base.
According to the leader of the PTB party, Congressman Jovair Arantes (GO), there are only benefits to approving the law legalizing bingo. "By voting on this law, we are taking it out of the shadows. This prohibition causes a lot of corruption," said the congressman in a report published by Agência Brasil.
With the urgency approved, the merits of the Bingo Project will be assessed subsequently.

Obstacles
The main obstacles the sector may face in Wednesday's session are the opposition parties' intention to obstruct proceedings in order to pressure the government to vote on the regulation of healthcare resources through Complementary Bill 306/08, and the issue of quorum due to the Brazilian national team's game.
A source told the blog that there will be a quorum for the proposal to be considered at the beginning of the session, as it is the second item on the voting agenda.
We're rooting for you!
