The presence of Zico, invited to present the awards for the ABCPCC Speed and Early Breeding Cup, caused a stir throughout the racetrack, and the star player charmed everyone, taking numerous photos with those present, always with a smile on his face.

The fantastic meeting this Sunday (12), with a good audience turnout and attractions on and off the track, resulted in a memorable afternoon at the biggest stage in the country, the Gávea Hippodrome.

Below, in chronological order, are some images by Sylvio Rondinelli, capturing memorable moments from a Sunday at the Jockey Club Brasileiro that will be treasured forever…

Francisco Leandro was incredibly charming during the excellent interview with Juliana Dias ( click here to watch);

– The jockeys all arrived together, guided by the “hostess”, Victoria Mota;

– Celebration in the winners' circle with the first victory for Clube Hípico RJ, to the delight of its 27 members. The winner, Kempes Love, proved to be quite exceptional. He started late and won comfortably. A luxurious performance.

– Three races in the first three of the day, three wins for Fantasma, João Moreira;

– Representing the Cristal Hippodrome, apprentice jockey Josiane Marques gave a beautiful ride on Primavera Gaúcha (Stud Pedudu) to win the Marlene Fernandes Serrador Special Prize, a race reserved for female jockeys. The emotion of Mrs. Marlene and the young jockey on the podium only reinforces the famous saying that there are emotions that only horse racing can provide.

– A true gallop of health from the mare High Wire (Stud HRN) in the JCB's tribute to the late Marcos Ribas de Farias. Another triumph for Luiz Esteves on the day, his third in five races.

– Quantify, bred and owned by Stud Red Rafa, repeats Sandpit and achieves the first victory of its campaign in the GP Francisco Eduardo and Linneo Eduardo de Paula Machado – Araras Blood & Power (G1), the second stage of the Triple Crown for Products. João Moreira and Luiz Esteves shone, both having won four of the six races of the day so far;

– The presence of Zico, invited to present the awards for the ABCPCC Speed and Early Breeding Cup, caused a stir throughout the racetrack, and the star spread good cheer, taking countless photos with those present, always with a smile on his face. Accompanied by his wife, children, and grandchildren, the "Little Rooster" – who received a commemorative tray from the president of the JCB, Raul Lima Neto, for his 70th birthday, celebrated at the JCB itself on March 03rd – and his charisma brought a wonderful aura to everyone at the Rio de Janeiro racetrack;

– Next, Fígaro set the pace for the II ABCPCC Early Breeding and Speed Cup. The colt, bred and owned by Haras Old Friends, made a strong late run to overtake his rivals and take the R$ 222 first-place prize. Luiz Roberto Feltran presented the winner perfectly. Adding insult to injury, João Moreira once again came out on top. Five times in one day. A truly "fantastic" feat.

– Francisco Leandro didn't waste the trip and took Silenciadora to first place in the GP Diana (G1). Excellent training by Christiano Oliveira for the Argentinian filly, bred and owned by Haras Santa Maria de Araras, which placed her name among the winners of the most important race for fillies of her generation.

– Online (Stud Verde), an animal that had been competing against the best in the country, defied the time away from the track and the reduction to a mile, easily beating its rivals in the 1.600-meter turf race of the Clássico Itajara (L.). The duo Henderson Fernandes and Luiz Esteves once again demonstrated their enormous efficiency. Leader Esteves won five races, including two Listed races and one G1 race.

– The MGA exceeding R$ 1 million (R$ 1.171,249,68), the first of the “Single Stone Era”, crowned the unforgettable afternoon of horse racing that we all had the pleasure of witnessing.
