Next weekend, the decisive semi-final matches of the Copa do Brasil will take place. On Saturday (19), at 18:30 pm, Vasco and Atlético-MG will face each other at São Januário. On Sunday (20), at 16 pm, at Neo Química Arena, it is Corinthians and Flamengo's turn to decide who will go to the finals of the competition. In both matches, the home factor will be decisive, according to the analysis of some of the main betting houses in the country.

According to Odds & Scouts, a leading source of data for sporting events, and several recognized betting platforms, such as Lucky Sports, Betting House, Onabet, EstrelaBet, Betano, BetNacional, Superbet, Aposta Ganha, Betsson, Betsul, KTO, betmotion, MrJackBet, PagBet e 1XBET The home teams are slight favorites for the second leg, with average odds of 2,65 for Vasco and 2.52 for Corinthians. Victories for Atlético-MG and Flamengo, in turn, are quoted at 2,81 and 3,00, respectively.

Besides the home advantage, another factor that may have influenced the analysis is the historical record. In the last two times Vasco and Atlético-MG met at São Januário, Vasco emerged victorious. Specifically in the Copa do Brasil, there have been five matches between the teams, with three wins and two losses for the Rio de Janeiro side. In the overall record of the confrontation, there have been 40 games at the Gigante da Colina's home ground, with 20 wins, 12 draws, and only eight losses for the home team.

Corinthians' historical record at Neo Química Arena against Flamengo is also favorable. In the last three matches at the venue, Timão won two and drew the other. Considering only Copa do Brasil matches, there have been four games, with two Corinthians victories, one draw, and only one Flamengo win. In the overall record, Corinthians has played 62 games at home, winning 31, drawing 13, and losing 18.

In both matches, any victory for the home team by one goal will take the decision to penalty kicks. If the home teams win by more than one goal, they secure qualification. Vasco lost the first leg 2-1 at Mineirão, while Ramón Diaz's team was defeated 1-0 at Maracanã.

One interesting fact about Vasco in this competition is that, out of the four previous phases of the current edition, the club qualified in three of them via penalty shootouts, eliminating Água Santa, Fortaleza, and Athletico-PR. In the case of Corinthians, considering all editions played by the team, the club has only been eliminated in the semifinals twice in its history, in 1977 and 2023, against Grêmio and São Paulo, respectively. On both occasions, the decisive match was played away from home.
