Senator Angelo Coronel raised a point of order with the President of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, to prioritize Bill 2648/2019.

Senator Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA) raised a point of order with the President of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, requesting that Bill 2648/2019, authored by Senator Roberto Rocha (legalizing casinos in resorts) and which is being reviewed by the senator from Bahia in the Committee on Regional Development and Tourism – CDR, be considered before Bill 4495/2020, authored by Senator Irajá.

The parliamentarian was displeased that Bill 4495/2020, which establishes an integrated resort for each state, received priority in its processing by being sent directly to the Plenary and with Senator Veneziano Vital do Rego as rapporteur. Initially, the proposal should have been attached to Bill 2648/2019 and reviewed by the Committees on Regional Development and Tourism, Economic Affairs, and Constitution, Justice and Citizenship.

Senator Angelo Coronel promised that his report on Bill 2648/2019 will be comprehensive and provides for the legalization of all forms of gambling.

In a meeting with the board of directors of the Brazilian Institute of Legal Gaming – IJL , the parliamentarian stated that, according to the Senate's internal regulations, priority in the processing of proposals on the same topic is always given to the oldest proposal, and that he would take the matter to the Plenary of the House to be decided.
