Superbet is the new sponsor of América of Rio de Janeiro.
President of América, Romário gave an interview this Thursday (16), at Granja Comary, training center of the Brazilian National Team, to announce the sports betting and online games platform Superbet as the new sponsor of the team loved by all Cariocas.
On Thursday night, the ceremony to launch the partnership and unveil América's new jerseys, featuring Superbet as the main sponsor, took place.
During the event, which was attended by president Romário, it ended up being a journey through the traditional history of América and was also considered the starting point for the team's return to the first division of the state championship.
"The original is born different. It's in its DNA. We recognize the originals from afar by their roots, their history, their blood!", defined Superbet.

Romário dismisses conflict.
Senator Romário is the rapporteur for the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) on Sports Betting in the Senate. When questioned about the conflict of interest in the relationship between public service and the main sponsor of the club he presides over, the former soccer star stated that the activities are not related.
"Today, 75% of Brazilian football is sponsored by a betting company; the Brazilian Championship is sponsored by a betting company, the Copa do Brasil is (sponsored by) a betting company," said Romário.

Retired from football since 2009, when he played a few matches for America, Romário signed a contract with the institution valid until December 2024 and will receive a minimum wage, which will be donated to the club.
The Tetra hero's debut should happen this weekend. In an interview, the player stated that he is not physically fit to compete in the Série A2 of the Campeonato Carioca, but revealed that there is a possibility of him playing the last 15 or 20 minutes of the match.
"Yes, I have been training, doing what was agreed upon with the coaching staff. I don't have the physical condition to compete in a championship like Série A2, which is even more physically demanding than the first division. Depending on the game situation, and hoping the team is in good shape, there's a real possibility I could play the last 15 or 20 minutes of the game," he stated.
