The Mega da Virada 2026 prize is expected to exceed R$ 1 billion.
The 18th edition of Mega da Virada has an estimated prize of over R$ 1 billion, according to CAIXA Loterias. Bets for the special contest nº 3100 are available from Tuesday, November 3rd, and can be placed until 22 PM on December 31st. The draw will take place at 11 AM on January 1st, 2027, at Espaço da Sorte, located at Avenida Paulista, nº 750, in São Paulo (SP).
Because it is a special lottery draw, the Mega da Virada prize does not accumulate. If there are no winners in the main prize category (matching all six numbers), the prize will be divided among those who matched all six numbers, and so on. Of the total prize money, 90% will go to bets that match all six numbers (Sena), 5% to bets with five correct numbers (Quina), and 5% to bets with four correct numbers (Quadra).
In 2025, the Mega da Virada lottery paid out a record prize of R$ 1,09 billion. The initial estimate was R$ 850 million. The draw had six winning tickets, each receiving over R$ 181,8 million.
Bets can be placed using the specific Mega da Virada betting slip through CAIXA Lottery channels: at more than 13 CAIXA lottery outlets throughout Brazil, the CAIXA Lotteries portal, and the CAIXA Lotteries app (iOS and Android), as well as CAIXA Internet Banking, exclusive to CAIXA account holders. The cost of a simple bet with 6 numbers is R$ 6,00 (six reais).
CAIXA Lottery Pool:
The CAIXA Lottery group bet is a way for bettors to place bets as a group. Simply fill in the appropriate field on the betting slip or ask the lottery attendant.
To participate in a lottery pool, bettors can purchase shares organized by lottery retailers, which may charge an additional service fee. It's also possible to buy shares through the CAIXA Lotteries portal or the CAIXA Lotteries app. When the pool is organized by the bettor themselves, no service fee is charged.
