The first year of market regulation will be discussed by ANJL at BIS SiGMA South America.

The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) will be present at BIS SiGMA South America, which takes place in São Paulo from Monday (6) to Thursday (9). The entity, which represents most of the legalized betting operators in the country, will discuss the Brazilian scenario, considering the first year of the regulated market, and the fight against match-fixing in sports.
The two panels will be held on Tuesday morning (7) and will feature President Plínio Lemos Jorge alongside other prominent debaters, such as, for example, the Undersecretary for Supervision and Inspection of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, Fabio Macorin, and the National Secretary for Sports Betting and Economic Development of Sport of the Ministry of Sport, Giovanni Rocco Neto.
According to Plínio, the debates will be fundamental to updating betting operators on business opportunities in Brazil, which today already represents the fifth largest market in the world, as well as informing them of any risks to which they may be exposed.
"By bringing together so many names that are part of the federal government, which represents the regulatory power, as well as those that make up our market, this is a fundamental event for entrepreneurs to define their strategies and the next steps to be taken," highlighted the president of ANJL.
In the afternoon, Plínio will lead a round of talks on Brazil's competitive advantages alongside Carla Dualib, Regional Business Development Manager for Latin America at Softswiss. These advantages include sports, growth, and also the responsibility that accompanies market expansion.
