Esportes da Sorte renews its support for Parajiu-Jitsu and expands its project in the Northeast.

On the National Day of Struggle for People with Disabilities, celebrated on September 21st, Esportes da Sorte announces the renewal of its sponsorship of the project “Together, Fighting for Inclusion”, developed by the Pernambuco Association of Jiu-Jitsu and Parajiu-Jitsu (APJJP). Started in August 2025, the partnership currently serves 78 beneficiaries, including 63 para-athletes and 15 social athletes from vulnerable communities, and is entering a new cycle with plans to expand activities to Alagoas, in addition to continuing actions in Pernambuco.
The project provides infrastructure, a multidisciplinary team, teachers, kimonos, mats, and logistics for competitions. Among the 63 para-athletes served, 35 are part of the high-performance team, which has accumulated results in national, South American, and world competitions.
For Marcela Campos, vice-president of Esportes Gaming Brasil (the group that owns the Esportes da Sorte brand), investing in Paralympic sports is a strategic pillar of socio-sports transformation. “We are committed to supporting initiatives that truly make a difference and guarantee dignity. Investing in APJJP and expanding this work throughout the Northeast reaffirms our mission to broaden inclusion through sport, leaving a lasting legacy for athletes and their communities.”

Historic results on the mats
Continuous support has translated into significant and unprecedented achievements for Paralympic sports in Pernambuco. The project produced the state's first Paralympic athlete to become a World Champion in Para Jiu-Jitsu: Remenson Cardoso, who won the gold medal at the championship held in Abu Dhabi, competing in the Amputee category (functional class A4). The international scene also saw Paralympic athlete Meek Farias achieve third place in the world.
Beyond its global success, the APJJP delegation has demonstrated continental and national strength. Representing Pernambuco, the team secured 3rd place overall in both the South American and Brazilian Parajiu-Jitsu Championships, accumulating a series of national titles in various adapted categories.
Founded in 2021, APJJP serves para-athletes in 16 functional classes (physical, visual, cognitive disabilities, autism, and cerebral palsy), as well as vulnerable youth. Free training and multidisciplinary support take place at Compaz Atriz Lêda Alves, in partnership with the Recife Sports Secretariat. “Sport is a fundamental tool for self-confidence, discipline, and inclusion. The partnership with Esportes da Sorte covers vital infrastructure costs and guarantees the necessary conditions for our athletes to compete for high-level titles in the country and around the world,” emphasizes Túlio Andrade Carneiro Filho, president of APJJP.
