Federal court releases influencer Buzeira after 10 months in prison.
He gained notoriety in 2023 by gifting soccer player Neymar a gold chain estimated at R$2 million. At the time, he had 4,5 million followers on Instagram.

The Federal Court ordered the release of digital influencer Bruno Alexssander Souza Silva, known as Buzeira, who is under investigation in Operation Narco Bet. The decision was made this Monday (August 17th) by the Fifth Panel of the Superior Court of Justice, after 10 months of pre-trial detention.

Buzeira had been detained since October 2025. His release was accompanied by the imposition of precautionary measures, the terms of which were not detailed by the Federal Regional Court of the 3rd Region (TRF-3).

The influencer is being prosecuted for money laundering and organized crime as part of Operation Narco Bet. The indictment from the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) also indicates that he is a defendant in other criminal cases related to drug trafficking, criminal association, money laundering, and illegal gambling.

The influencer has amassed 14,4 million followers on Instagram, about 1 million fewer than when he was arrested. On his account, he flaunts dozens of cars, mansions, money, and trips. He also displays photos with various celebrities such as Neymar, Virginia Fonseca, Zé Felipe, and the rapper Oruam. He gained notoriety in 2023 when he gifted Neymar a gold chain estimated at R$2 million. At the time, he had 4,5 million followers on Instagram.

Second complaint from the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office

In June 2026, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) filed a second indictment against Buzeira and four other individuals investigated in the same operation. The accusation maintains that the group was part of a criminal organization dedicated to money laundering, tax evasion, and concealment of assets through sports betting platforms, international operations, offshore structures , and cryptocurrency transactions.

In this second indictment, presented to the Federal Court of Santos, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) identifies Buzeira as the alleged financier, hidden controller, and ultimate economic beneficiary of the BRXBET and RICOBET brands. The accusation states that he had direct involvement in strategic decisions and in the management of operations related to the platforms, despite not formally appearing in the companies' corporate structure.

Passage through prison units

During his 10 months of detention, Buzeira was held in three different prison units. In May 2026, he was transferred to the Provisional Detention Center (CDP) in Caiuá, in the interior of São Paulo state. Before that, he had served time in the CDP IV in Pinheiros, in the western part of the city of São Paulo, and in the Odon Ramos Maranhão Penitentiary, in Iperó, in the Sorocaba region.

The influencer's defense, represented by lawyers Jonas Reis, Eugênio Carlo Balliano Malavasi, and Lucas Gabriel Ruivo Ferreira, celebrated the granting of habeas corpus . In a statement, the lawyers affirmed that "the facts that are the subject of the complaint filed by the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office against Bruno will be duly clarified within the due process of law, so the defense will comment in the records of the criminal action at the appropriate procedural moment, refraining from commenting on the accusations against him, in respect of the confidentiality of the proceedings."
